Since forever, the art and science of foresight is something to be attained where we seeks to know what the future holds for us as well as understand what is likely to continue and what is likely to change. Part of the discipline thus seeks a systematic understanding of past and present, and therefore determine and predicts future events and trends.
Though the effort have been previously conducted in various form and guise of activities, MIGHT aims to truly enhance and focus on this discipline in the upcoming years. Creation of myFutures, a list of activities in the pipeline as well as establishing international collaborations with other similar organizations is believed to be a catalyst in the creation and mapping out of Malaysian Futures.
What’s in store for Malaysia?
“Computer scientist Alan Kay once said that the best way to predict the future is to invent it. I believe that the Malaysian futures community has an unprecedented opportunity to invent the future of futures and forecasting.”
